MTA Aries chillers are now also available with R454B and including free cooling.

Anyone thinking of propane when it comes to the Aries is right, but that is the Aries N. There is now also an MTA Aries G FC air-cooled chiller with R454B. This new Aries is ideal for companies that require less than 350 kW of cooling year-round for cooling water from -10 °C to +20 °C. The integrated free cooling offers significant energy saving opportunities.

New MTA Aries G FC with R454B

The MTA Aries G FC air-cooled chiller with hermetic scroll compressors and the low GWP refrigerant R454B has a very wide range of applications:

• The new series consists of six machines with a cooling capacity of 160 to 340 kW.
• The Aries G FC operates at ambient temperatures from -10 °C to +43 °C. Optionally from -20 °C.
• The outlet water temperature is -10 °C to +20 °C.
• Also available in an extra quiet version. In addition, there are various options for sound insulation.

To meet every set of requirements, MTA supplies Aries G FC with various hydraulic packages, even including dual pumps and a buffer tank. The floor space required for the chiller remains the same, regardless of the chosen package.

FC stands for integrated free cooling

The free cooling of the MTA Aries G FC can often result in substantial energy savings. For maximum energy efficiency, the Aries G FC chooses from three options: cooling with compressors, free cooling only, or free cooling with the help of the compressors. This is the hybrid mode. Furthermore, the fan control has been optimized to increase the FC capacity.

The addition of antifreeze is always required for free cooling, so this also applies to the MTA Aries G FC in general.

Demanding industrial environments

The fact that the free cooling is integrated together with the chiller in a single housing is perfect for demanding industrial environments. The evaporator of the Aries G FC can also handle challenging conditions. An additional protective coating for the condenser and free cooling is optional.

High efficiency, low and ultra-low GWP

MTA now supplies Aries series with both R454B and R290. This is illustrative of MTA’s philosophy. Customers can choose from a range of high-performance machines that use various refrigerants with a low or negligible GWP:

• Many chillers and heat pumps supplied by MTA are optimized for R454B and R1234ze.
• In addition, the portfolio includes MTA chillers and heat pumps with the natural refrigerant R290.
